Use Rana Maps in a lawful, safe and respectful way. These rules apply to the app, website, APIs, SDKs and information you submit. Read them with the terms of use or API and SDK terms.
Do not scrape or copy in bulk
Do not scrape, harvest, bulk download or systematically extract map data, API responses, images or other service content. Do not bypass a rate limit or use another person's key.
Do not target or harm people
Do not use Rana Maps to stalk, harass, threaten, locate or target a person without their permission, or to plan theft, violence or other harm. Do not publish a person's private location or personal details.
Do not map sensitive sites
Do not collect or submit information intended to expose or map any of the following:
- Military or police sites and checkpoints;
- Airports or ports;
- Government installations, prisons or embassies;
- Officials' homes;
- The inside of a school or place of worship without permission; or
- The inside of any compound.
Do not photograph people. For permitted contribution photos, photograph only a sign or house number and check the blurred preview before sending it.
Submit honest information
Do not knowingly submit false, misleading, duplicate or manipulated map information. Do not copy, trace or reproduce information from a commercial map.
Do not attack the service
Do not probe, disrupt, damage or overload Rana Maps, try to access an account or system without permission, introduce malware, or interfere with another person's access.
We may limit or stop access to address a breach of these rules. This policy is a draft pending legal review.
