You can request deletion of contributor data in Rana Maps. Open the You tab and choose “Delete my contributor data”. Confirm the request in the app. The request is sent to the API with your contributor key. This page does not have a web form.
If you no longer have the app
Contact us at hello@ranamaps.com. Tell us the display name you used and roughly when you contributed so we can locate the right record. Do not send your contributor key or account passwords by email.
What will be deleted
Your display name, phone link, contributor key, unapproved submissions, trip traces, trip photos, voice files and photos linked to your contributions will be removed from the server. The key will stop working. Joining again after deletion creates a new contributor record.
What will stay
Approved map facts remain without a link to you. The append-only points ledger and an anonymised contributor row remain for award history. This request cannot remove local files you saved or copies already made outside Rana's systems.
What happens next
The app removes its local contributor profile and recordings after the server confirms deletion. If you cannot use the app, we will use the details you provide to find and process the request.
